SaBRe at the Woods Hole Science Stroll
Earlier this year, SaBRe researchers took part in the Woods Hole Science Stroll, an annual community event that showcases the work of Woods Hole’s six major science institutions, the U.S. Coast Guard, and local environmental and education-focused organizations. The team engaged the public with hands-on displays introducing Sargassum and other seaweeds, sparking curiosity among young visitors and fostering conversations about marine science and sustainability.
More details about this event can be found in our Outreach section.

Sponsored by NOAA’s Southeast and Caribbean Regional Collaboration Team (SECART)
NOAA’s Southeast and Caribbean Regional Collaboration Team (SECART) is launching a five-part webinar series to raise awareness about key issues surrounding Sargassum. Each webinar will highlight different aspects of Sargassum research, management, and its impacts on coastal communities and ecosystems. The goal of this series is to foster knowledge-sharing and regional collaboration across affected areas as we continue to see impacts from Sargassum inundation events.
