SaBRe Program celebrates its first peer-reviewed publication

We are thrilled to announce the publication of the first research paper emerging from the SaBRe program. Dasol Choi, a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Aaron Moment’s lab at UCLA, has published a new article titled “Waste Sargassum Seaweed as a Sustainable Resource for Rare Earth Element Recovery,” now available in ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering. This milestone publication showcases an innovative approach to transforming waste Sargassum biomass into a valuable resource for rare earth element recovery, marking an important step forward in SaBRe’s mission to advance sustainable, bio-based solutions. Congratulations to Dasol and the entire team on this exciting achievement for SaBRe. Link to publication:
